Job Description
Craft and Technical Solutions is an established Marine and Industrial Staffing Company with offices nationwide. We partner with businesses and jobseekers to place qualified individuals efficiently. Currently, we are looking for Drywall Hangers in El Paso, TX.
Description:
- Measure, cut, and fit drywall panels to walls and ceilings according to specifications.
- Secure drywall sheets using screws, nails, or adhesives.
- Install metal or wood framing and backing when required.
- Prepare surfaces by removing old materials and ensuring proper alignment.
- Tape, mud, and apply joint compound to seams and corners.
- Repair damaged drywall, holes, cracks, or water-damaged sections.
- Sand patched areas to achieve a smooth, paint-ready finish.
- Cut openings for electrical outlets, windows, doors, and fixtures.
- Work with blueprints, drawings, and layout instructions.
- Ensure work meets building codes and safety standards.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and clean work areas.
Requirements:
- Experience with drywall installation, taping, and finishing.
- Ability to measure and read blueprints accurately.
- Strong understanding of construction safety practices.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy materials and work on ladders/scaffolding.
- Attention to detail and ability to produce smooth finishes.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools (saws, routers, sanders, drills).
- Ability to lift 50–75 lbs.
- Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
